A photo of Poppy my current young dog, who is a Lagotto Romagnolo. Lagotti were originally bred as water retrievers. In more recent times, they have been bred as truffle hunting dogs, due to their great sense of smell. Poppy is true to her roots – she loves to swim. We live close to the harbour and Poppy enjoys walks but prefers a walk to also include a swim in the sea. I love the salt encrusted waves of Poppy’s fur which symbolise her free spirited nature.
